IPHES-CERCA hosts a CERCA-REMA workshop on leadership and empowerment in research

The IPHES-CERCA headquarters will host a session of the CERCA-REMA programme this Friday, an initiative promoted by the CERCA Institution that combines mentoring, training and workshops with a feminist perspective to transform scientific culture and foster the empowerment of women in research.

The workshop, titled “Assertive Leadership”, will be led by leadership consultant and mentor Jordina Arnau. It will address key topics for professional development, including the impostor syndrome, assertive and effective communication, and practical tools to strengthen empowerment and self-confidence.

The on-site session has reached full capacity, but it is still possible to register for the same training in an online format, scheduled for 24 February, with registration open via the corresponding link.

The CERCA-REMA programme aims to strengthen support networks among women within the CERCA system, provide empowerment and leadership tools, and prevent sexual harassment or harassment based on sex in the research environment. Through mentoring and thematic workshops, the initiative promotes confidence, collaboration and professional development in a scientific context that is still strongly male-dominated.

The programme is addressed to women and non-binary people linked to CERCA centres, both in research and in management or administrative roles, and is carried out throughout the academic year with on-site and online sessions across the territory.

This activity is supported by the IPHES-CERCA Equality Committee, within the framework of the actions set out in the IPHES-CERCA Equality Plan and in the context of its HR Excellence in Research (HRS4R) recognition.
