The new remains of Homo antecessor on RTVE
Spanish Television (TVE) has reported on the results of the 2026 excavation season at the Sierra de Atapuerca sites, presented last Wednesday. The report highlights the newly discovered Homo antecessor remains recovered from level TD6.2 at Gran Dolina, a finding that expands our understanding of this key species for interpreting the earliest human populations in Europe.
