IPHES-CERCA researcher Palmira Saladié is participating in the Conference on Evolution and Neurosciences, organized by the Chair of Scientific Thought of the University of the Basque Country, in Bilbao on May 23 and 24.

The event brings together specialists from various disciplines to reflect on the relationships between biological and cultural evolution, the human brain and consciousness. Palmira Saladié will give a talk entitled “Human cannibalism in prehistory: between survival, madness, love and hatred”, where she presents recent data on violence between humans based on taphonomic analysis of fossil remains. Her research contributes to a better understanding of the origin and evolution of human behavior.
