The Evoluciona program of Tarragona Ràdio talks to Dra. Rosa Huguet and Dr. Xosé Pedro Rodríguez on the discovery of human remains in the Sima del Elefante

Evoluciona, la investigació sobre l'evolució humana, amb l'IPHES-CERCA i Tarragona Ràdio

Tarragona Ràdio opens a series of special episodes of the Evoluciona program dedicated to the sites of the Sierra de Atapuerca.

In this first chapter, journalist Josep Suñé interviews Dra. Rosa Huguet, researcher at IPHES-CERCA and Dr. Xosé Pedro Rodríguez, professor at Univesitat Rovira i Virgili and researcher at IPHES-CERCA, both responsible for the excavation work at the Sima del Elefante site, in Atapuerca. With them, we talk about the importance of finding the human remains found in this site and what it means for understanding the first human occupations on the continent.

Dr. Isabel Expósito also intervenes, telling us about archaeobotany and the El Mirador site.
