At the Coves del Toll i Teixoneres site, in Moià (Moianès), evidence has been found that would indicate that the Neanderthal populations who lived there had practiced cannibalism. According to the archaeologist and co-director of this research project, Jordi Rosell, a possible reason for this practice would be "the management of loss", since violence between groups is almost ruled out, given that very few of them lived throughout the continent
