Conference by Francesc Burjachs on the paleoscapes around Altafulla

El Dr. Francesc Burjachs, palinòleg i investigador ICREA a l'IPHES-CERCA, va oferir divendres passat la conferència titulada Del Foix al Francolí passant pel Gaià. El paisatge vegetal i la costa des de fa 7.000 anys segons els canvis climàtics, a la sala Teresa Manero d'Altafulla, dins el marc del cicle de conferències Altafulla: passat, present i futur, organitzat pel Centre d'Estudis d'Altafulla.

L'investigador va fer un repàs de l'arqueobotànica i de les diferents disciplines científiques que l'integren i que són essencials a l'hora de reconstruir el paisatge del passat, especialment el més remot, per introduir després el coneixement que es té avui dia del paisatge durant la prehistòria.

Després d'aquesta conferència, la Dra. Maria Jesús Ortega va oferir als assistents la coferència El paisatge històric d'Altafulla.

Aquest cicle de conferències, que es farà entre el 27 de gener i el 3 de març, compta amb la col·laboració de l'Ajuntament d'Altafulla, l'Institut Català de Paleoecologia Humana i Evolució Social (IPHES), l'Institut Català d'Arqueologia Clàssica (ICAC), la Diputació de Tarragona, l'Hort de la Sínia i Limonium.
