Video of La Veu de Tarragona's special program for World Radio Day now available
The full video of the special La Veu de Tarragona program, hosted by journalist Josep Suñé, is now available. The show was broadcast to mark World Radio Day 2026 from the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ).
The program brought together institutional representatives, science communication professionals, and researchers from the main research centers in Southern Catalonia for a day dedicated to reflecting on the role of radio and science outreach in today's society.
Prominent presence of IPHES-CERCA
IPHES-CERCA played a significant role in several of the program's panel discussions. The center's director, Dr. Marina Mosquera, took part in the institutional panel alongside other directors of local research centers, highlighting the strategic role of research as a driver of development.
In the field of science communication, Dr. Gerard Campeny participated in the communication managers' panel, which emphasized the importance of explaining science to society and the role of Catalan as a language for scientific communication.
Finally, researcher Dr. Deborah Barsky spoke at the panel dedicated to international talent, focusing on researchers of foreign origin who are developing their careers in Catalonia and who, at the same time, are committed to learning the language and integrating into the region.
