Dr. Roser Marsal, a researcher trained within the IPHES-CERCA environment, recently participated in the program La Veu de Tarragona on Tarragona Ràdio, hosted by journalist Josep Suñé.
During the interview, Marsal shared her academic and research career path, which began through training and excavations linked to IPHES-CERCA. Over the years, she has taken part in several archaeological campaigns led by the center, such as those at Abric Romaní (Capellades) and Cueva de El Mirador (Atapuerca)—experiences that proved fundamental to her scientific development.
Currently, Roser Marsal is the recipient of a two-year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship in Sweden. There, she will develop a research project focused on water use and large-scale hydraulic infrastructure in ancient Egypt.
During the conversation, she also expressed her gratitude toward IPHES-CERCA and the researchers and technicians at the center who contributed to her scientific journey. At the institute, we especially value this recognition, as it reflects the impact of mentorship and support during the early stages of a research career.
