Members of IPHES-CERCA participate in a new documentary about Neanderthals that premieres on the National Geographic channel

Aquest diumenge 14 de març a les 18 h s’estrena el documental Neandertales:el último refugio, una producció de Minoria Absoluta que es podrà veure al Canal National Geographic Espanya. Entre els diferents experts que intervenen s’ha comptat amb Eudald Carbonell, Palmira Saladié, Jordi Rosell, Antonio Rodríguez-Hidalgo i Miquel Guardiola, de l'IPHES-CERCA

A més, hi ha escenes enregistrades al jaciment Abric Romaní (Capellades), un referent mundial per conèixer la vida de les comunitats neandertals on l’equip de l’IPHES-CERCA i de la URV hi porta més de 30 anys treballant-t’hi.

Neandertales: el último refugio se centra en les darreres investigacions sobre aquesta espècie amb les quals s’ha demostrat que tenien capacitats fins fa poc considerades exclusives de l’Homo sapiens com una tecnologia i una organització social complexa, l’art i el pensament simbòlic.
