Dr. Jordi Rosell participates in the ERC Grants Tarragona Infoday held at ICIQ

Dr. Jordi Rosell, researcher at IPHES-CERCA and professor at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, participated this April 29th in the ERC Grants Tarragona Infoday, held at the auditorium of the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ). The event brought together research and technical staff to explore opportunities within the European Research Council program and improve the preparation of competitive proposals.

Within this framework, Rosell presented his project SCAVENGERS during the session dedicated to ERC grant recipients and also participated in the round table focused on developing successful proposals. The SCAVENGERS project, funded by an ERC Advanced Grant, proposes a new approach to studying human-carnivore interactions at archaeological sites.

Based on an innovative system rooted in neotaphonomy, the research aims to address interpretive issues in the Middle Paleolithic record and establish a methodology applicable across a wide chronological range. Dr. Rosell's participation in such initiatives strengthens IPHES-CERCA's role in securing high-level competitive projects and its international scientific leadership.
