BBC Science Focus highlights the discovery of the arrowhead embedded in a human rib from Roc de les Orenetes
Issue 426 of BBC Science Focus features research carried out at the prehistoric burial site of Roc de les Orenetes (Queralbs, Girona), where the team led by IPHES-CERCA has recovered, among other materials, an arrowhead embedded in a human rib dating back more than 4,000 years.
This remarkable find provides new insights into interpersonal violence among prehistoric communities in the Pyrenees and forms part of the long-term excavation and research project that IPHES-CERCA has been conducting at the site.
