On Tuesday 28 October, IPHES-CERCA held the meeting of its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), the centre’s Scientific Advisory Council. This consultative body is made up of internationally renowned professionals whose role is to periodically assess the institute’s scientific activity and advise the management on the definition of its research strategies and institutional development.
The SAB of IPHES-CERCA is composed of David Lordkipanidze (Chair; Director, Georgian National Museum, Georgia), Leonor Peña Chocarro (Spanish National Research Council, CSIC, Spain), Nicholas Ashton (British Museum, United Kingdom), Bruna Vives (Secretary General of the European Reform Universities Alliance, Spain) and Maurijn de Heus (Impact/Business Developer, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
During the meeting, the SAB members held several sessions with the IPHES-CERCA management, the head of research, the general manager and other area coordinators of the institute, with the aim of analysing the main results achieved in recent years and assessing the strategic lines for the future.
The visit concluded with a tour of the institute’s facilities and laboratories, where the members of the Board had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the scientific infrastructures and the research carried out by the IPHES-CERCA team.
