National Geographic's Historia Magazine Echoes 18,000-Year-Old Cultural Cannibalism Practices Documented in Poland
Historia de National Geographic magazine reports on evidence of cultural cannibalism practices among Magdalenian human communities, around 18,000 years ago, at Maszycka Cave in Poland.
The results were published in the journal Scientific Reports in a study led by Francesc Marginedas, researcher at IPHES-CERCA and the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. The study also involved Dr Palmira Saladié, researcher at IPHES-CERCA, and Dr Antonio Rodríguez-Hidalgo, from the Instituto de Arqueología-Mérida (CSIC–Junta de Extremadura) and associate researcher at IPHES-CERCA, among others.
